Equipment
Baking dish, bowl, can opener, measuring cups and spoons.
Steps
- Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F/Gas mark 4)
- Place flour, sugar, oats, margarine and cinnamon in a bowl. Using your hands, mix together until mixture comes together as a crumble
- Put fruit into base of a baking tray. Sprinkle crumble mixture over top of fruit
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden. Serve with a dollop of ice cream, custard or thick low fat vanilla yoghurt
Tips
- Choose fresh fruit in season, such as strawberries, berries, apricots, peaches or plums in Spring and Summer, or pear, apple and rhubarb (stew the rhubarb first in a saucepan with a little water and sugar) in Autumn and Winter
- If you are feeding a crowd, just use a bigger tray and more fruit – the crumble will go a long way!
