Collections The Museum Collections showcase events or objects integral to the history of RPA. Museum Collection Medical Instruments Our medical instrument collection includes objects from the late 1800s to the worlds first CPAP machine invented in the 1980s. Exhibition History of Nursing and Midwifery at RPA RPA has a rich history of educating and training nurses and midwifes since 1882. This installation celebrates this history. Digital Collection Celebrating 140 Years Compiled in 2022 in partnership with the NSW State Archive to celebrate the 140th anniversary of RPA, this unique collection showcases the history and heritage of RPA in images and captions. Exhibition Stained Glass Windows of RPA The RPA Main Foyer in the Administration Block has thirteen stained glass windows donated by staff and the public in 1885. Museum Collection Nurses at War RPA nurses have a long history of volunteering for war efforts starting with the Boer War in South Africa in 1900. Digital Collection Celebrating 125 years Compiled in 2007 to celebrate the 125th anniversary of RPA, this collection of images showcases the development of RPA. Exhibition The Busts of RPA Six marble and bronze busts of people significant to the early development of RPA are on display in the Administration Block foyer. Exhibition Statues and Bas Reliefs of the King George V Building The King George V Memorial Hospital for Mothers and Babies opened in 1941. Several statues and reliefs were commissioned for the building during construction. Exhibition Sculptures at RPA Bronze, marble and granite sculptures are prominently displayed across the grounds of RPA – connecting and celebrating art, heritage and healthcare.
