Opened in 1882, the heritage listed Administration Building is still the main entrance to Royal Prince Alfred Hospital today containing many of its original architectural features.

From thirty bed wards to six bed bays, RPA Hospital wards have undergone many transformations since 1882.

Opened in 1936, Gloucester House was the first Intermediate Hospital (private/public) on campus to offer private wards for patients willing to pay for extra amenities and care.

Pathology Building and Chapel

Demolished in 2023 to make way for significant hospital redevelopment, the hospital Pathology Building, Morgue and Chapel are digitally remembered and will be physically celebrated through heritage installations utilising sections of the demolished buildings.

Opened during World War II and designed by award-winning architects Stephenson and Turner, the King George V building, formerly the King George V Memorial Hospital for Mothers and Babies was a stand alone purpose built maternity hospital.
