Canterbury Hospital Redevelopment

Overview

The NSW Government is investing $350 million in the Canterbury Hospital redevelopment to expand the facility and deliver upgrades to existing infrastructure.

The Canterbury Hospital Redevelopment will be the biggest upgrade of the hospital in 26 years. This redevelopment will ensure the facility is able to respond to the health needs of the growing community and enable our dedicated health staff to deliver high-quality care in the latest facilities.

Project status

With concept design finalised, the Canterbury Hospital Redevelopment is now in the schematic design phase during which staff can take a look at a more detailed design layout. These layouts have been informed by staff representatives during design engagement sessions.

Following schematic design, the team will focus on the planning approval for the early works and progress to detailed design. Detailed design is the third and final stage of the design process and involves finalising the layout of each room.
