Yhunger Collection: Whatevs (biscuits)

Ingredients

Ingredient list 20 biscuits
Softened margarine or butter (room temperature is easiest) 2½ tbsp
Sugar ¼ cup
Egg 1
Self-raising flour 1 cup
Whatever you've got in your cupboard (such as chopped dried fruit,
choc bits, cereal, oats, nuts, ½ tsp spice like cinnamon or lollies)
1 cup

Equipment

Large bowl, stirring spoon, flat biscuit trays, baking paper, measuring cups and spoons.

Steps

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F/Gas mark 4) and line tray with baking paper
  2. Mix butter/margarine with sugar in a bowl until well combined. Add egg and mix well again
  3. Add flour to the mix and stir in. Then add your “whatever” ingredient(s) and stir to combine
  4. Spoon mix out onto tray (approximately 1 tablespoon of mixture per biscuit). Bake for approx. 10 minutes until just golden. Let biscuits cool and go hard on the tray before moving

Tips

  • Try a variation: use wholemeal self-raising flour instead of white self-raising flour (or a mix of half and half) and mix it up with your whatevs. Test out new combinations and dazzle your friends!
