Ingredients

Ingredient list for 2 people
Instant noodles 1 cake
Salt-reduced vegetable or chicken stock 2 cups or 2 stock cubes dissolved in 2 cups of water
Salt-reduced soy sauce or kecap manis 1-2 tsp
Choy sum or bok choy, washed and chopped into thirds 4 stems
Shallot, finely sliced 1
Corn kernels, frozen ½ cup
Silken tofu, drained and cut into 2 cm cubes (optional) 1 pack

Equipment

Saucepan or microwave dish, stirring spoon, chopping board, knife, measuring cup and teaspoon.

Steps

  1. Cook noodles in 2 cups chicken stock, add soy sauce/kecap manis and frozen corn. Add choy sum and simmer till wilted, then add tofu
  2. Serve soup with sliced shallots on top

  • Try a variation: udon or soba noodles
