Instant noodles | 1 cake |
Salt-reduced soy sauce | 1 tbsp |
Honey | 1 tsp |
Vegetables, fresh or frozen | 1 cup |
Equipment
Saucepan or microwave dish, stirring spoon, chopping board, knife, measuring cup and spoons.
Steps
- Cook noodles and vegetables in boiling water for 2 minutes, then drain
- Keep on low heat and add soy sauce and honey, stir for approx. 30 seconds. Serve
Tips
- Throw away the flavour sachet! A cheaper and healthier way is to buy the plain instant noodles in packs of 8-10 cakes. Seal pack with a clothes peg or snap lock bag to keep air out and fresh
- Try a variation: use hokkien or Singapore noodles. Allow an extra 5 to 10 minutes to cook pasta
