Ingredients

Ingredient list for 2 people
Instant noodles 1 cake
Crushed garlic (from jar or a fresh clove)  ½ tsp
Tomato, chopped 1
Zucchini, grated (optional) ½
Basil, fresh chopped or dried 1 tbsp fresh or 1 tsp dried
Parmesan cheese, grated To taste

Equipment

Saucepan or microwave dish, stirring spoon, chopping board, knife, measuring cup and spoon and grater (optional).

Steps

  1. Cook noodles in boiling water for 2 minutes, then drain
  2. Keep on low heat and add garlic, chopped tomatoes, zucchini and basil, stir and cook for about for 1 to 2 minutes. Serve with parmesan cheese on top

Tips

  • Throw away the flavour sachet! A cheaper and healthier way is to buy the plain instant noodles in packs of 8-10 cakes. Seal pack with a clothes peg or snap lock bag to keep air out and fresh
  • Try a variation: use spaghetti. Allow an extra 5 to 10 minutes to cook pasta
