Instant noodles | 1 cake |
Crushed garlic (from jar or a fresh clove) | ½ tsp |
Tomato, chopped | 1 |
Zucchini, grated (optional) | ½ |
Basil, fresh chopped or dried | 1 tbsp fresh or 1 tsp dried |
Parmesan cheese, grated | To taste |
Equipment
Saucepan or microwave dish, stirring spoon, chopping board, knife, measuring cup and spoon and grater (optional).
Steps
- Cook noodles in boiling water for 2 minutes, then drain
- Keep on low heat and add garlic, chopped tomatoes, zucchini and basil, stir and cook for about for 1 to 2 minutes. Serve with parmesan cheese on top
Tips
- Throw away the flavour sachet! A cheaper and healthier way is to buy the plain instant noodles in packs of 8-10 cakes. Seal pack with a clothes peg or snap lock bag to keep air out and fresh
- Try a variation: use spaghetti. Allow an extra 5 to 10 minutes to cook pasta
