Physiotherapy Research

The Physiotherapy Departments in Sydney Local Health District are involved in research to improve patient care. Current research projects aim to improve the exercise capacity, quality of life and self-management of people with chronic conditions including: chronic lung disease particularly cystic fibrosis and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD); stroke; pelvic exenteration; as well as treatment modalities for musculoskeletal conditions and burns patients, and airway clearance techniques for respiratory conditions.
