Meet the hosts for Innovation Week 2022

District welcomes hosts for key Innovation Week events.

Julie McCrossin AM returns as one of the hosts for Innovation Week 2022 in Sydney Local Health District.

Julie will be the Master of Ceremonies for the flagship Sydney Innovation and Research Symposium on Friday 3 June. 

A veteran radio and television broadcaster, Julie is now a freelance broadcaster, podcaster and emcee.

She gets people talking and is renowned for her warmth, humour, intelligence and commitment to social justice.

She had treatment for throat cancer in 2013, and is a patron of Targeting Cancer and TROG Cancer Research.

Julie will also emcee the Women’s Leadership Breakfast at NSW Parliament House on Wednesday 1 June.

Writer, performer, producer and director Maeve Marsden (she/her) will facilitate the Patient and Family Experience Symposium on Tuesday 30 May.

It will focus on the experiences of the District’s LGBTIQ+ communities and the people who support them.

The Sydney News Director for Nine Radio Natalie Peters will emcee the Care in Community Forum in the morning on Thursday 2 June, which will reflect on the District’s partnership with its communities during the COVID-19 response.

And, science writer and presenter Bernie Hobbs will host the Clinical Trials Showcase, The Big Idea and the Sydney Research Awards that afternoon.
