Vaccination centres at RPA and Sydney Olympic Park open seven days a week.

COVID-19 vaccination centres in Sydney Local Health District are now open seven days a week, to boost the number of appointments available for people in NSW to get the jab.

The District-managed vaccination centres at RPA and Sydney Olympic Park are operating from Monday to Sunday.

"We're expanding operations because we want to vaccinate as many people in our community as possible, to protect them and their loved ones from COVID-19," Dr Teresa Anderson, the District's Chief Executive, said.

People living in NSW can get the vaccine now if they are 40 years of age or older, or match the eligibility criteria because of their job, health issues, or if they are caring for a vulnerable person.

COVID-19 vaccines are free for everyone in Australia regardless of Medicare or visa status.

Data shows the District has administered more than a quarter of a million COVID-19 vaccinations since it commenced vaccinations on 22 February 2021.

"The dedicated teams at our vaccination centres - nurses, clinicians, pharmacists, ICT and administration workers, cultural support workers, interpreters, cleaners and security officers - are working to ensure the process is as streamlined as possible," Dr Anderson said.

The team at COVID-19 Vaccination Centre at RPA has reached a significant milestone with more than 100,000 vaccines being administered since the centre opened in February.

The District has also opened a COVID-19 Vaccination Clinic at Canterbury Hospital to immunise eligible hospital patients, their families and carers.

The Clinic offers inpatients aged 16 - 60 and those considered vulnerable, and who meet the eligibility criteria, an appointment to be vaccinated on the day they're expected to be discharged from hospital.

The District also manages a COVID-19 Vaccination Clinic at Sydney Airport.

The NSW Health Vaccination Centre is located at 1 Figtree Drive, Sydney Olympic Park.

The COVID-19 Vaccination Centre at RPA is located at 88 Mallett Street, Camperdown.
