About this course
This short tutorial supports participants to explore the language and terminology used to discuss suicide and suicidality. The tutorial also raises awareness of the NSW Health Suicide Care Pathway Model so that participants are aware of the six steps in this model. Participants will also be made aware of resources available including further education about suicide awareness and our District services contact details.
Who should attend?
This course is appropriate for any staff member who wishes to increase their understanding of suicide and suicide prevention.
What will you learn?
By the end of this course you should be able to:
- Understand and be able to reframe culture and the language on suicidality.
- Understand the Towards Zero Suicide framework and pathway.
- Explore the NSW Health suicide care pathway model
