We offer qualifications ranging from Certificate II to Graduate Diploma level. All qualifications that we offer are contextualised for our workforce. We can also write qualifications when we identify an education need that is not met through another Vocational Education & Training (VET) sector product.

Sydney Education, in partnership with the University of Tasmania (UTAS), offers a range of scholarships for tertiary-level qualifications to support staff in developing the skills they need for their career development in Sydney Local Health District.
Studies for this round of scholarships will commence in July 2026 at the start of Semester 2.

The Graduate Diploma of Advanced Practice was developed as a partnership between Sydney Education and the University of Tasmania with specialisations that are aligned to career pathways in health.
This qualification has 14 specialisation options that align with career pathways within the health system. In 2026 we offer the following specialisations:

This qualification aims to enable health workers to develop expertise and advanced practice skills in the anticipation, assessment and management of acute behavioural disturbance, reducing the potential for workplace aggression, violence and harm.
This qualification and scholarship program has been developed pursuant to an enforceable undertaking between Sydney Local Health District, ABN: (17 520 269 052) and SafeWork NSW entered into on 12 August 2022.
This qualification has been written and accredited by Sydney Local Health District as a delivery site of the NSW Health Registered Training Organisation. The qualification is being delivered by staff of Sydney Education, the education and training service for Sydney Local Health District.

Participants in this program would need to attend face-to-face workshops at the Sydney Education Rozelle Campus or the Mallet Street Camperdown Campus, and complete a number of workplace projects and assessment activities. It is anticipated that there will be approximately 30 face-to-face days of training and assessment over the duration of the program (18 months).
