Our art therapist uses different art techniques to develop self-awareness, creativity and personal growth. Can’t draw or paint? Don’t worry, everyone is welcome.

Sing and play along to music, write songs, or simply enjoy listening. Music therapy has been shown to improve quality of life and decrease stress and anxiety. No musical experience is required.

Medical qigong uses movements, breathing and meditation to maximise natural body healing. Qigong can improve the wellbeing of people living with cancer by helping to relieve pain and reduce anxiety. 

Studies have shown yoga can reduce stress and anxiety, improve sleep, mood, energy levels and quality of life in cancer survivors. The class is suitable for people at all levels of fitness.

Our tutors will guide you through the steps of scrapbooking to create a scrapbook or journal of any topic you would like to focus on, or to make beautiful handmade cards or other hand crafted items. These classes are offered on rotation.

Mindfulness is a type of meditation that helps you to focus on being in the moment, without judging or reacting to your thoughts, emotions or experiences. This helps to relax the body and mind and reduce stress.

Take an hour out of your week and learn some helpful relaxation, meditation and stress relief strategies. 

Pilates is a group exercise program led by an exercise physiologist. It focuses on muscular balance, improving strength and mobility. Options exist for people new to Pilates, returning after an extended break from Pilates, or those with current Pilates experience.

An online, group-based exercise physiology-led resistance training program with a focus on increasing or maintaining muscle strength and balance.

During the school term (subject to weather) survivors meet at the cottage at a set day and time each week and enjoy a walk together.
