Fuss Free Mealtimes

Healthy children education sessions

The early years of life are a critical time for healthy growth and development. Starting healthy eating habits during this time continues into adulthood.

Children need a variety of highly nutritious foods to support their brain, muscle and bone development.

The sessions are delivered by our bilingual and bicultural staff in various languages, including Arabic, Bengali, Mandarin, Urdu and Vietnamese.

Topics covered

  • Foods children need to eat – ‘everyday’ and ‘sometimes’ foods
  • How to manage picky or fussy eating
  • Importance of iron
  • Children’s programs and services

Who is the program for?

It is for parents or carers who care for young children.

If you are a service provider that supports groups of children and families, contact our team at SLHD-DiversityHub@health.nsw.gov.au to organise a session.
