Alesandro Ljubicic shares a personal reflection of what their artwork means to them:

Flowers burst from large, textured canvases. Sweeps and daubs of vivid colour convey my intense response to the beauty of nature. With colour I capture this beauty which connects the viewed with the play of colour psychology. The work evokes a powerful and positive influence physically, intellectually, emotionally and spiritually.

Blue is the colour of the mind and is essentially soothing; it affects us mentally, rather than the physical reaction we have to red. Using light soft blues helps to calm the mind and aid concentration. Consequently, it is serene and mentally calming.

Using pink also affects us physically, but it soothes, rather than stimulates. Pink is a powerful colour representing the feminine principle, and survival of the species; it is nurturing and physically soothing.

Colours of our environment affect our behaviour and mood. When yellow daffodils, bluebells and colourful spring flowers appear, we immediately begin to feel lively but when grey skies and rain surround us, we instinctively draw in and tend to hibernate.

The colours of the interior environment where we live or work affect us in just the same way as those in the natural world do.

Hanging my work at the hospital can only be positive for the people who are in the space where my hope would be to brighten each and everyone of their days, when they glance upon the work.
