About this course

Are you responsible for making change happen in your team?

This two-day workshop provides practical application of change leadership theory and tools in a healthcare setting.

Effective leadership during change is crucial to change success and staff engagement. The most effective leaders devote considerable effort to engaging everyone involved in the change. They also are mindful that people need time to adapt to change — no matter how fast-moving the change initiative.

This course focuses on three essential themes to effective change leadership: change and the organisation, change and the individual, and managing change. You are encouraged to work on your own workplace change ideas during the workshop.

Who should attend?

This course is appropriate for any staff member responsible for leading workplace change.

What will you learn?

By the end of this course, you will be able to:

  1. Manage by leading and supporting others through change.
  2. Apply the models and approaches to change management.
  3. Define, plan, and implement a change proposal.
  4. Identify factors in change and engage appropriately with the stakeholders involved.
  5. Use effective strategies including communication skills to inspire positive change.
