About this course
At some time or another, a challenging conversation may arise in the workplace, usually due to miscommunication or lack of communication. These conversations can be uncomfortable but avoiding them can create other adverse outcomes. In this course, you will learn to deal more effectively with these conversations and resolve issues quickly and informally before they have the chance to escalate. You will gain simple, transferable skills to improve your ability to deal with difficult discussions constructively and confidently, increasing the likelihood of a positive outcome for all parties.
Topics covered in this course include building self-awareness; applying a framework to prepare and have a challenging conversation; using effective communication techniques; understanding other’s points of view and managing emotions under stress; and using interactive peer-group scenarios to help you practice your conversation skills in a safe environment.
