Virtual Rehabilitation

The Virtual Rehabilitation Program, known as vRehab, is a short-term, intensive rehabilitation program. The program provides care to people recovering from stroke or other neurological conditions, hip or knee replacement, hip fracture surgery, cardiothoracic surgery and neurosurgery. The program also provides reconditioning.

The Virtual Rehabilitation team has specialist knowledge and skills in providing rehabilitation. The team work with you and your family to improve your function and skills.

The service is open Monday to Sunday, 8.30am-4.30pm. You can contact us on 0439 567 582.

What to expect

Daily consults

Rehabilitation specialists and allied health clinicians provide both in-person and virtual assessment and therapy as required. 

Our team

Rehabilitation Specialist 
  • Provides expert rehabilitation medical review and management of your recovery
Physiotherapist
  • Will help you improve your mobility, movement, strength and balance
  • Will give you exercises to do at home
  • May prescribe mobility aids (if needed)
Occupational Therapist 
  • Improves your independence in activities of daily living. For example, self-care, dressing, cooking
  • Will give you exercises to do at home
  • Will suggest strategies to support your independence in completing tasks
  • May modify your home environment and prescribe aids (if needed)
Speech Pathologist 
  • Improves your communication skills (including speech, language, voice) and swallowing ability
  • Will give you exercises to do at home
  • Will suggest strategies to support communication and swallowing
Allied Health Assistant
  • Works with the rest of our team to support your rehabilitation program

24/7 support

Outside the clinic hours you can call our Virtual Care Centre on 1800 325 065 at any time. Please let us know if you need an interpreter or have special needs, for example, hearing problems. Psychology and Social Work Services are also available. 

All Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander patients are offered cultural support from Aboriginal Health Workers.
