Sydney District Nursing

Sydney District Nursing is a service of RPA Virtual Hospital. We provide care to patients who live in Sydney Local Health District.

Care is provided to patients at home or in community-based clinics. We work closely with many services to ensure you receive high quality, connected care. These services include:

  • RPA Virtual Hospital Virtual Care Centre
  • Royal Prince Alfred, Concord, Canterbury and Balmain Hospitals
  • Allied health professionals
  • Your general practitioner
  • Community organisations

What to expect

We provide expert nursing care in the areas of:

  • Acute and chronic wound assessment and management
  • Hospital in the Home, including drips and antibiotics
  • Palliative care by supporting you to manage your symptoms at home, advance care planning and end of life care, including a supported death at home. 24/7 phone support and advice is also available. 
  • Care for chronic medical conditions
  • Continence assessment and management

We can also provide information about, and referral to, allied health services such as physiotherapy, occupational therapy, podiatry and speech pathology.

Our nurses will visit you at home or see you in one of our community clinics at the Redfern, Croydon and Marrickville Health Centres. Please let us know if you need an interpreter or have special needs such as hearing problems.
