About Interstitial Lung Disease Unit
The Interstitial Lung Disease Unit at RPA Hospital provides comprehensive, multidisciplinary care to patients from Sydney Local Health District and across NSW.
We are part of the RPA Respiratory Medicine and Sleep Service.
The Interstitial Lung Disease Clinic was established in 2010 and was one of the first specialist clinics of its kind in Australia. It is now one of the biggest Interstitial Lung Disease Clinics in Australia, currently servicing over 700 patients across NSW.
Our highly specialised team includes Respiratory Specialists, Interstitial Lung Disease Specialist Nurses, Rheumatologists, Clinical Geneticists, Palliative Care Specialists, Physiotherapists, Respiratory Scientists, Radiologists, Pathologists and Administrative staff, all dedicated to improving health outcomes for patients with interstitial lung disease (or ILD). We offer regular multidisciplinary outpatient clinics.
Additionally, we provide the opportunity to participate in international clinical trials and other research programs, which are essential for developing new treatments and advancing our understanding of the disease.
