The People Matter Employee Survey asks staff to reflect on their workplace and provide feedback on how we can keep making positive changes to ensure Sydney Local Health District is a workplace everyone is proud to call their own.

Staff feedback is valuable in helping the District prioritise those things that are important for our workforce.

Workplace Culture and Safety Action Plan

The annual People Matter Employee Survey provides critical insights into our workplace culture, safety, and overall employee experience.

We use these insights to shape our Workplace Culture and Safety Action Plan to drive improvements and inform decisions across every area of our District. Through the plan, we address key issues like workplace safety, communication and employee engagement.

This ensures our strategic directions and initiatives are truly reflective of the needs and experiences of our workforce, and that our actions are both practical and relevant.

Action in every part of the District

Our Workplace Culture and Safety Action Plan is uniquely collaborative. Staff-led Committees, embedded in each District facility and service, are responsible for overseeing the plan’s development and implementation.

These Committees include General Managers or Executive Directors and clinical and non-clinical staff so that a range of voices and expertise are considered in decisions that have lasting impacts on our workplace culture.

Continuous improvement

The Workplace Culture and Safety Action Plan is more than just a document—it’s a living, evolving blueprint that empowers our workforce.

It is reviewed quarterly, with achievements and progress documented and reported to the Senior Executive and Board.
