Location

Canterbury Health Centre is based on the grounds of Canterbury Hospital in Sydney's inner west, on the corner of Canterbury Road and Thorncraft Parade, Campsie. We are open 8.30am-5pm, Monday to Friday.

Drug Health Harm Reduction

 

If you use substances and don’t normally go to a GP or have trouble accessing primary healthcare support, we offer anonymous access to a primary healthcare clinic every Tuesday.  Services are free and we assist with: basic health and medical care; wound and injury management; screening, diagnosis and treatment for hepatitis B and C; sexual health screening; referrals to other health and social services; and provision of needles, syringes and Naloxone.

Drug Health Harm Reduction Needle and Syringe Program

To reduce and minimise the spread of blood-borne viruses in the community, we provide free needles and syringes to injecting drug users. You can also get tested for bloodborne viruses and get Naloxone.

Child and Family Health

We offer a range of child and family health services for children, such as allied health, nursing and medical services.

We offer a range of drug and alcohol related services including counselling and tobacco cessation support clinics.

Mental Health

Our Community Mental Health team provides a range of services to support your recovery and help you stay well in the community. We can provide specialist services for young people, children and families, adults and older people.
 

Our services include acute care support, care coordination or assertive outreach support. Our community mental health services include a specialist Aboriginal mental health team, bilingual mental health workers and peer support workers.

Sydney District Nursing (rpavirtual)

Hospital level nursing care provided to people in their homes or the community-based clinics. Care includes acute and chronic wound care, Hospital in the Home (including drips and medications), palliative care, care for chronic medical conditions and continence assessment and management.


A referral from a health professional is required.
