Our inpatient unit specialises in haematology, medical oncology and palliative care. We aim to provide integrated, patient centred care in a supportive and compassionate environment.
We provide treatment and care for patients with blood cancers like leukaemia and myeloma, and blood disorders such as thrombosis, anaemia and blood clotting issues and specific organ, tissue and system cancers such as liver, lungs, bone breast or reproductive system.
We also provide palliative care for all patients with cancer and non-cancer diagnoses. Palliative care aims to help and support patients and their carers by addressing the physical, emotional, spiritual and practical needs associated with their illness and its treatment.
The inpatient unit includes a number of single rooms with ensuite, visitor lounge and an outdoor courtyard.
Comprehensive care is provided by our specialist doctors, nurses, social workers, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, dietician and clinical psychologists. Our staff are dedicated to supporting patients, their families and carers through attention to symptom control and also the holistic needs of each individual.
