In this practical, interactive, skill based workshop, Dr Samantha Bendell talks about how to implement the RESET debriefing tool in your workplace. Using a Train the Trainer model, participants will be taught to use the RESET tool and provided with Sydney Local Health District’s RESET educational resources.

The Neurobiology of Human Connection: Using neuroscience, evolutionary theory and relational mindfulness to inform human encounters

This workshop is based on theories from evolutionary theory as well as current research in psychology and neuroscience showing the importance of social connection. The workshop outlines the importance of psychological safety on the human nervous system and explores the impact on our ability to engage socially with others. Finally, the concept of relational mindfulness is discussed as a way to establish and maintain psychological safety in interpersonal interactions.
