Nursing and Midwifery Clinical Educator Professional Development and Support Program

This program has been designed to support clinical nurse educators and clinical midwifery educators. Participants are supported to develop both the theoretical and practical skills required to be effective frontline clinical educators.

About this course

Through participation in sessions you will be supported to carry out a workplace educational needs analysis and develop practical education strategies for your team. This program is also a great opportunity to network with fellow clinical educators and to share ideas and initiatives. 

Who should attend?

People employed in either a permanent or acting clinical nurse educator or clinical midwifery educator role for a minimum of one year. 

What will you learn?

By the end of this course you will be able to:

  1. Apply theoretical knowledge and practical skills to the provision of clinical education within Sydney Local Health District.  
  2. Contribute to professional development practices and learning culture within Sydney Local Health District.  
  3. Introduce different education pathways to staff in your clinical area.
  4. Develop your reflective practice and confidence as a clinical educator.
