About this course
This one-day course will allow you to develop advanced skills and knowledge to identify, assess, analyse, and manage infection risks using current standards, guidelines, policies, and evidence-based practice. This course also aims to develop the skills and knowledge required for communicating effectively regarding infection prevention and control.
Who should attend?
Registered nurses, registered midwives, enrolled nurses, clinical nurse or clinical midwifery educators, infection prevention and control champions, and allied health professionals from the Sydney Local Health District who wish to enhance their knowledge and skills of infection prevention and control in clinical practice.

- Discuss antimicrobial resistance and multi-drug resistant organisms
- Identify the process of cleaning, disinfection, and sterilisation
- Recognise and respond to infectious disease outbreaks
