About this course
The aim of this course is to update you, on common urological problems and to acquire knowledge and the basic principles of assessment to safely perform urinary catheterisation and to deliver quality maintenance care.
You will further develop your competency with local accredited clinicians.

By the end of this course you will be able to:
- Identify indications for urinary catheterisation.
- Identify potential problems and develop good clinical skills in urethral and supra-pubic catheterisation.
- Differentiate the utilisation of different types of catheters, drainage systems and devices.
- Demonstrate basic skills in changing male and supra-pubic catheters.
- Demonstrate competency in the use of non-real time bladder ultrasound scan.
