About this course
The aim of this two-day face to face course is to expand your knowledge and skill working in the rehabilitation specialty. This course promotes greater awareness of the rehabilitation process, advanced clinical practice and enhanced risk management in restoring physical performance.
Who should attend?
This course is appropriate for all nurses and allied health staff, especially working in rehabilitation settings.
What will you learn?
By the end of this course you will be able to:
- Apply knowledge and skills to assist patients and their families to achieve and maintain optimal health and functional independence.
- Understand FIM assessment and the application of FIM score to planning and implementation of care.
- Work effectively within a multidisciplinary team setting goals and achieving patient centred care.
- Identify, manage and evaluate clinical risks for patients in rehabilitation.
- Identify and discuss referral criteria for varied ranges of community service available from local/state/federal government programs.
