About this course

This workshop provides you with an overview about of what trauma is and how it impacts pregnancy, birth and parenting continuum. 

Case studies and lived experience videos complement teachings from an experience multidisciplinary team. This team has collaborated with the collective aim to equip you and other maternity care providers with trauma informed care knowledge, awareness and tools.

This workshop contains information that may be emotionally confronting for some, self-care will be encouraged and supported.

Who should attend?

Maternity care providers such as midwives, obstetricians and allied health in maternity care.

1. Recognise the prevalence of trauma and the importance of trauma informed care
2. Practice self-care demonstrated throughout workshop
