About this course
This two day face to face course focuses on risk management of the ageing process. The course aims to equip you with comprehensive assessment and risk management skills of physical manifestations of the ageing and disease processes in elderly clients.

Nurses and Allied Health professionals.
What will you learn?
By the end of this course you will be able to:
- Recognise the barriers to assessing the older person and develop and implement strategies to achieve goals
- Recognise clinical signs of polypharmacy and pharmacological effects in the elderly
- Actively engage in patient or carer education regarding safe use of medication plans and appropriate dosages
- Apply risk management principles to the care of the elderly who have skin impairment, continence function, malnutrition, dysphasia or dysphagia, and venous and arterial ulceration
- Identify and discuss the referral criteria for varied ranges of community services available from local or state or federal government programs for aged care clients
