RPA Rheumatology provides a comprehensive suite of hospital in-patient services and outpatient clinics for patients who have diseases that affect the musculoskeletal system.

Acute Back Pain Service

The service provides care for people experiencing acute lower back pain (duration less than 3 months), with both rheumatologists and physiotherapists. 

Biologics Clinic

The clinic provides care for patients who require specialised biologic or targeted synthetic medications. 

Dermatology-Rheumatology Clinic

The clinic provides specialised care for patients with conditions that affect both the skin and joints. 

General Rheumatology Service

The service provides comprehensive care for adults with conditions affecting bone, joint, muscle, blood vessel, connective tissue and a range of autoimmune diseases. 

Gout and Crystal Arthritis Service

The service diagnoses and manages treatment for patients with gout, calcium pyrophosphate deposition disease and other crystal-related arthritis including basic calcium arthropathies.   

Infusion Centre

The centre is a dedicated rheumatology service staffed with experienced nurses delivering safe, specialist-directed treatments within our rheumatology clinic space. 

Lupus Service

The service provides care for patients with lupus which is a chronic autoimmune disease, which mostly affects the skins and joints. 

Myositis Clinical Service

A comprehensive service for the diagnosis and management of inflammatory and autoimmune muscle diseases. 

Nail Fold Capillaroscopy Clinic

The clinic aids in the diagnosis and classification of systemic autoimmune rheumatic diseases, including scleroderma.   

Osteoarthritis Chronic Care Program

The program offers personalised, multidisciplinary holistic care for patients with osteoarthritis, including those on the waiting list for elective total hip and knee joint replacement surgery. 

Osteoporosis Service

The service offers comprehensive bone density assessments and expert care for patients with osteoporosis, refracture prevention and other bone health concerns. 

Rheumatology Physiotherapy Services

We are collocated with RPA’s Physiotherapy Department who provide a range of resources to help our patients. 

Scleroderma Service

The service provides care for patients with scleroderma which is a chronic autoimmune disease which affects connective tissues.
