Internal Audit

Internal Audit Department provides an independent, objective assurance and consulting service for Sydney Local Health District to support improvements to business operations. We evaluate risk management, control, and governance processes to help the District to operate in an efficient, effective and ethical manner and achieve its vision of excellence in health and healthcare for all.

Our staff have extensive experience in a wide range of specialities including audit, government, accounting, nursing, radiography and other clinical areas. Our work includes a focus on three areas; audits, fraud and corruption and consulting activities.

Audit and Risk Management Committee

The Internal Audit Department, together with representatives from Digital Health & Innovation, Finance & Risk and External Audit, meets quarterly with the Audit and Risk Management Committee to discuss audit reviews completed and matters related to auditing and risk management.
