How to apply

Eligibility

To be eligible for the Program, you must hold an undergraduate degree from a recognised university and be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident. If your undergraduate degree is from an overseas university, please confirm with the University of Tasmania that your degree is recognised.

Graduates for this Program are recruited from a range of backgrounds including, but not limited to, accounting, allied health sciences, arts, behavioural sciences, business, commerce, communications, economics, human resources, industrial relations, law and health-related fields.

The Program is designed to develop leadership and management skills (previous management experience is not required). Please note: this program is not recommended for those with extensive management experience.

Our program is aimed at early career candidates (though there is no age limit).

Online applications for the 2026 intake are open and will close at 11.59pm on Sunday 27 July 2025.

When submitting your online application, you will need to attach a current resume and a copy of your university transcript. You will also need to provide a written response to the each of the selection criteria (found in the Position Descriptions for the Graduate Health Management Trainee Position and the Sol Bellear AM Memorial Aboriginal Graduate Health Management Trainee Position). Each response should be no more than 300 words each.
