Allied Health professionals and assistants in Sydney Local Health District are a dynamic, enthusiastic and diverse group of health professionals who work together to optimise the physical, emotional and functional ability of our patients and their families.

We work in multidisciplinary teams to assess, diagnose, provide treatment and support to help people recover following illness or injury or to manage chronic health conditions or supporting children to meet their health and developmental needs and maximising people’s capacity to live well and maintain their independence.

Our Allied Health professionals work right across the District in many services including our acute and sub-acute hospitals and our outpatient and community services across a wide range of clinical specialities.

Our Allied Health Assistants work under the direction of Allied Health professionals to provide support for our patients.
