Chaplaincy, Pastoral and Spiritual Care

The hospital has a Chaplaincy Service. The Chaplains offer free spiritual care, guidance, and emotional support to patients and their families. They can provide a compassionate presence for your loved one in hospital. You are also welcome to invite your own minister to visit you.

On admission to hospital patients are asked if they would like a visit from a representative from the Chaplaincy Service, you can also speak to a hospital staff member. You may be visited by the ward chaplain, or a representative from your faith.

Our Chaplains are available for:

  • A friendly chat
  • One on one support for patients, families, friends, and staff
  • Grief, loss, and bereavement support
  • Sacraments, Holy Communion and other religious rituals and celebrations
  • Scripture, prayer, and meditation

Prayer Room

A Multi-faith Prayer Room is available and can be used for quiet prayer, reading, or meditation. The room is located on level 3, and is opened 24 hours a day.
